2023 Medicare Costs In Georgia and Florida

The costs have changed for Medicare beneficiaries. Georgia Medicare and Florida Medicare enrollees (the states we deal with the most) will be the same as the rest of the country, some costs are going down and a couple are going up.
The Medicare Part B Deductible for 2022 was $233 for the year. The Medicare Part B Dedutible for 2023 has dropped a few dollars to $226 for the year.
The Medicare Part B monthly payment was $170.10/month for 2022. For 2023 the payment has dropped to $164.90/month.
The Part A (Hospital) Deductable has increased from $1,556 per hospitalization to $1,600.
Part A Co-insurance has gone up a little. If you are in the hospital past 60 days the costs are now:
Coinsurance (days 61-90): $400 per day of each benefit period
• Coinsurance (60 lifetime reserve days): $800 per day after day 90 of each benefit period
Skilled Nursing Facility Stay – You Pay… (After a 3-day inpatient hospital stay required first)
• Coinsurance (days 1-20): $0 per day of each benefit period
• Coinsurance (days 21-100): $200 per day of each benefit period
